What makes these prompts work

  • 01

    Written for screens

Most prompts leave open sky, water or empty space where a clock, icons or a taskbar will sit.

  • 02

    Mood and palette first

Each prompt names the mood, the light or the colors up front, so results stay coherent.

  • 03

    Easy to adapt

Swap the place, the season or the colors and keep the structure that works.

Anatomy of a wallpaper prompt

Full sentences beat keyword lists. Lead with the scene, then add detail in order of importance:

  • Scene: what fills the screen
  • Mood and light: golden hour, blue hour, night, haze
  • Palette: two or three colors
  • Style: photo, watercolor, anime-style, 3D render, flat illustration
  • Open space: where the clock or icons go
  • Words, if any, in quotation marks

Turn one prompt into a set

One prompt can make a phone, desktop and tablet set. Generate it at 9:16 first, then run the same words at 16:9 and 3:4. The scenes differ in detail but keep the same palette and mood.

For an ultrawide monitor, switch the model to Nano Banana 2 and pick 21:9; the prompts in the cities and panoramas group are written for that shape.

Wallpaper prompt FAQ

Are these wallpaper prompts free?

Yes. Copy, adapt and share any prompt on this page. You only pay credits when you generate a wallpaper with one on AI Wallpaper Generator.

Which model should I use with them?

Seedream 4.5 for most prompts, at 10 credits. Use Nano Banana 2, at 20 credits, for the panoramas at 21:9 and when you want its larger 4K sizes.

How do I keep the clock area clear?

Mention open sky, calm water or empty space at the top. The generator also asks for a calm top quarter on tall shapes, but saying it in the prompt helps.

Can I use these prompts in other tools?

Yes. They are plain descriptions and work in most image generators, though results differ from model to model.
