9:16 lock screens and home screens
Describe a scene and get a tall 9:16 wallpaper for iPhone or Android, with the main subject kept clear of the lock-screen clock.
The phone wallpaper generator makes tall 9:16 wallpapers from a sentence: 1440 × 2560 at 2K or 2304 × 4096 at 4K with Seedream 4.5 for 10 credits, or up to 3072 × 5504 with Nano Banana 2 for 20 credits. Each request asks the model to keep the top quarter calm, where the clock sits. Download the image and set it in your phone's wallpaper settings.
The model draws the scene at 9:16 from the start, so only a thin strip at the sides is trimmed when you set it, unlike a landscape photo squeezed onto a phone.
Every tall request asks for a calm top quarter, where the time and date sit on the lock screen, and for the subject to stay away from the bottom edge and its shortcuts.
At 4K, 2304 × 4096 has more pixels than current phone screens, so your phone scales the wallpaper down instead of stretching it.
Generate the same scene twice, once detailed for the lock screen and once calmer or darker for the home screen, so the icons stay readable.
Say what fills the screen, the mood and the colors, and mention open sky or space at the top.

The steps differ a little by brand; on most Android phones:
Most current phones have screens of about 19.5:9 or 20:9, a little taller than 9:16; large flagship screens are around 1320 × 2868 or 1440 × 3120 pixels. When you set a 9:16 wallpaper, the phone fills the height of the screen and trims a thin strip from each side.
That is why 4K is the better choice for phones: 2304 × 4096 has more pixels than the screen in both directions, so the phone only scales it down. At 2K (1440 × 2560) the image is slightly enlarged on the tallest screens, which is rarely visible. Both cost the same.
A lock screen shows the time over the top of the image and shortcuts along the bottom:
9:16: 1440 × 2560 or 2304 × 4096 pixels with Seedream 4.5, and 1536 × 2752 or 3072 × 5504 with Nano Banana 2. Phones trim a 9:16 image slightly to fit their taller screens.

Most phones are taller than 9:16, so they fill the height and trim the sides. Keep the subject near the middle of the frame, or pinch to reposition it when you set the wallpaper.
Signing up is free and the tips on this page are free, but each wallpaper uses purchased credits: 10 with Seedream 4.5 or 20 with Nano Banana 2. There are no free trial credits.
Yes. Generate the same prompt twice, or add “darker and calmer, fewer details” to the second run for the home screen, and set each one separately.
Describe it once and get a 9:16 wallpaper in 4K for the same credits as 2K.
