# 4K wallpaper generator for desktops and laptops

> A 4K wallpaper from AI Wallpaper Generator is 4096 × 2304 pixels with Seedream 4.5 or 5504 × 3072 with Nano Banana 2 at 16:9, more than a 3840 × 2160 4K UHD monitor shows, so it never has to be enlarged. Tablets get 3:4 or 4:3, up to 3072 × 4096 with Seedream 4.5 or 3584 × 4800 with Nano Banana 2. 4K costs the same as 2K: 10 credits with Seedream 4.5 or 20 with Nano Banana 2.

Describe a background and get an image larger than a 3840 × 2160 4K monitor, so it stays sharp on desktops, laptops and tablets.

## Why make it in 4K

- **Bigger than 4K UHD**: 4096 × 2304 covers a 3840 × 2160 monitor with room to spare, so the wallpaper is scaled down, never stretched.
- **Same price as 2K**: A wallpaper costs 10 or 20 credits whatever the resolution, so 4K costs nothing extra.
- **Fits 16:10 laptops**: Laptops with 16:10 screens trim a strip from each side of a 16:9 image. At 4K, 4096 × 2304 still covers most laptop screens, and Nano Banana 2's 5504 × 3072 covers even 3840 × 2400 panels.
- **Tablet shapes too**: Choose 3:4 for a tablet held upright or 4:3 held sideways: 3072 × 4096 with Seedream 4.5 or 3584 × 4800 with Nano Banana 2 at 4K.

## How to make a 4K desktop wallpaper

1. **Describe the background**: Keep the focal point toward the center; desktop icons and the taskbar cover the edges.
2. **Pick 16:9 and 4K**: Or 3:4 and 4:3 for a tablet, and 21:9 with Nano Banana 2 for an ultrawide monitor.
3. **Download and set it**: Use your computer's wallpaper settings and choose Fill so the image covers the screen.

## 4K wallpaper sizes

The 4K sizes this generator makes, all at the same credit price as 2K:

- 16:9 desktop: 4096 × 2304 (Seedream 4.5) or 5504 × 3072 (Nano Banana 2)
- 9:16 phone: 2304 × 4096 or 3072 × 5504
- 3:4 and 4:3 tablet: 3072 × 4096 and 4096 × 3072 (Seedream 4.5) or 3584 × 4800 and 4800 × 3584 (Nano Banana 2)
- 21:9 ultrawide: 6336 × 2688 with Nano Banana 2
- 1:1 square: 4096 × 4096

## Common screen resolutions

A wallpaper looks sharp when it has at least as many pixels as the screen. Full HD monitors are 1920 × 1080, QHD monitors 2560 × 1440 and 4K UHD monitors 3840 × 2160, all 16:9. Many laptops use 16:10 screens, such as 1920 × 1200 or 2560 × 1600.

A 16:9 4K wallpaper of 4096 × 2304 covers all of them: the screen scales it down and, on 16:10, trims a little from the sides. For the sharpest 16:10 panels, such as 3840 × 2400, use Nano Banana 2's 5504 × 3072. A 2K wallpaper of 2560 × 1440 is enough for Full HD and QHD screens.

## How to set a desktop wallpaper

After downloading the image:

- Windows: Settings, Personalization, Background, then Browse photos and choose Fill
- macOS: right-click the image in Finder and choose Set Desktop Picture, or use System Settings, Wallpaper
- iPad: open the image in Photos, tap Share, then Use as Wallpaper

## 2K or 4K?

2K files are smaller and quicker to download and share, and they are enough for Full HD and QHD screens. Pick 4K for large or high-density screens, or whenever you plan to crop.

The price is the same either way, and the generator asks the model for the full 4K size directly; it does not enlarge a smaller image afterwards.

## 4K wallpaper FAQ

### Are these real 4K wallpapers?

Yes. With 4K selected, the generator asks the model to render the full size, for example 4096 × 2304 at 16:9, rather than enlarging a smaller image afterwards.

### Does 4K cost more than 2K?

No. A wallpaper costs 10 credits with Seedream 4.5 or 20 with Nano Banana 2 at either resolution.

### Will a 16:9 wallpaper fit my 16:10 laptop?

Yes. Choose Fill in your wallpaper settings and the laptop trims a thin strip from each side. Keep the subject near the center so nothing important is lost.

### Can I make a 4K wallpaper for a tablet?

Yes. Pick 3:4 for portrait (3072 × 4096) or 4:3 for landscape (4096 × 3072) with Seedream 4.5. iPads are close to 3:4, and widescreen 16:10 tablets work well with 16:9 held sideways.

### What about dual or ultrawide monitors?

Use the ultrawide page: Nano Banana 2 makes 21:9 panoramas of 6336 × 2688, which you can crop for 32:9 screens and two monitors side by side.

### Is the 4K wallpaper generator free?

Signing up is free, but each 4K wallpaper uses purchased credits, 10 with Seedream 4.5 or 20 with Nano Banana 2, the same as 2K. There are no free trial credits.
